Do you have an out of stock order on eBay??
We know about some methods like to offer a similar product, usually a cheaper one and give also a discount, or a generally method that we try to take buyer’s confirmation and cancel it later as “Buyer’s asked” reason. So, with all these methods we avoid the out of stock defect, that is the only that really cost to all eBay sellers.
But if you can think smart, why not to mark this out of stock order as dispatched?
Which are the consequences from this option? The answer is nothing!!
And why nothing?
Because buyer will message you about or open a not received case, that you can very easily offer a full refund and close it. The point to this option is the customer support too. You have to explain to your buyer that the package maybe lost and offer him immediately a full refund. With this way you avoid any negative feedbacks from your buyer!!
